It's not summer unless you're relaxing on the deck with a Popsicle!

Great Grandma
Visiting Great Grandma Gusta! Forrest's favorite thing about the visit was running up and down the long hallways and stairs. Another good thing is people there don't exactly have the sharpest hearing so Forrest's shouting (hopefully) doesn't bother them as much!
New Hampshire
Thanks to grandma Char we had a nice time in New Hampshire. Forrest seemed to enjoy communing with nature, though it takes him a while to get used to any new setting. The rest of us weren't as thrilled about communing with the bugs but we got over that too.
Row Row Row Your Boat
On our trip to New Hampshire Forrest became a pro at boating. At first he was very nervous to get in the boat but once we convinced him to try the rowboat (not pictured) he became obsessed with boating. Now every time he sees water he wants to sit in it and pretend to row!
Blueberries for Forrest
Forrest discovers where blueberries come from! They're everywhere you turn, it's like a dream come true! Until he discovered the ride-on airplane they had at the farm, that was the real dream come true. But the rest of us stocked up on fresh blueberries while Forrest played.

2 Years Old!
Forrest is 2! He had his traditional birthday watermelon and ate waaay more of it than he did last year.
Mountains
A trip to Bretton Woods in New Hampshire where Forrest ran up and down hills, explored rivers, and enjoyed the hotel swimming pool. All important nature activities.
Every Last Drop
When eating watermelon, make sure you slurp up every last drop of juice. You wouldn't want to waste a drop. But you may want to bring your face to the watermelon rather than the other way around, to avoid spillage. Trust Forrest, he knows from experience.
A Walk in the Woods
The best way to travel! You don't even have to tip your driver! Although you do have to get down to explore stick buildings you may find in the woods.
Carousel
Always a good time on the Boston Common carousel. Forrest usually asks for the rooster. He doesn't seem so excited while he's riding it but then he doesn't want to get off!
Construction Sites
Construction sites are a toddlers parent's best friend! Instant entertainment! We're lucky there's construction everywhere you turn in Cambridge.

Bathtub Art
These bathtub crayons are one of the best purchases we've made. They provide endless minutes of entertainment in the evening while we're trying to make it through to bed time. Forrest knows the limited repertoire of things we can draw and he will make requests until he decides to take on the job himself.
Hand Washing
Forrest's preferred method for getting rid of sticky fingers. Luckily it's Lotus's preferred method as well. Though while he's eating he doesn't always want Lotus there bugging him and has learned how to tell her to go away. Unfortunately Lotus hasn't learned to understand words yet.
Uke Master
Forrest is really obsessed with his ukulele again, which is something that seems to come in phases. His uke is never in tune but that doesn't seem to bother him!

Watermelon
Watermelon for everyone! The first piece he ate way past the red part, didn't waste a speck! But after that he started leaving more and more, just eating the top and moving on to the next piece!

Bookworm
Just doing a little light reading in bed. Catching up on his favorite construction equipment - the best books have trucks in them you know!
Fake Sleep
One of Forrest's favorite "jokes" is to pretend to sleep. And snore like daddy. Would be nice if he did a bit more real sleeping but it's pretty cute anyway.
Popsicles
Popsicles are a staple around here, usually made in our own freezer but this one was a gourmet farmers market selection. Forrest must have liked it since he couldn't even wait for me to take a bite before he went in for the kill.
